About the role

As a Lead Golang Developer at Breeze, you will be responsible for coming up, developing and implementing suiting solutions in our current Golang and PostgreSQL backend systems. Next to that there is the option to work on the Kubernetes infrastructure, GCP configuration and other external tooling relevant for our backend systems. You will lead the development of a scalable and secure backend that supports our rapidly growing platform.

You’ll work closely with the other developers to design and implement seamless APIs, while optimizing our systems to ensure high performance, stability, and data protection. In addition to writing clean and efficient code, you’ll guide the team in maintaining a healthy codebase by addressing technical debt and ensuring backend systems are aligned with business objectives.

Concretely, you would:

• Uphold backend system stability and scalability: Monitor and enhance the performance of backend services, ensuring they are scalable, robust, and capable of handling increasing user traffic. Implement tests and monitoring systems to track performance and API uptime.

• Manage and optimize the product’s backend development: Lead the backend development efforts, consistently delivering maintainable and efficient code. Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure a seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.

• Drive technical innovation and improvement: Identify areas for improvement in our backend architecture, propose innovative solutions, and stay ahead of industry trends to ensure we’re using the latest technologies for optimal performance.

• Ensure system security and compliance: Implement best practices to secure user data, maintain GDPR compliance, and regularly audit systems for vulnerabilities to prevent breaches.

• Contribute to technical strategy: Align the technical roadmap with business goals, participating in strategic discussions and providing insights into technical risks, opportunities, and resource needs.

About you

💰 Competitive Salary: Between €5.500 and €8.000 on a full-time basis per month (gross), depending on your experience.
