About Breeze

Breeze is the dating app designed for dates: we've built the world's first service that organizes actual offline dates at scale. At Breeze, we skip the online mating dance: once you have a match on Breeze, you fill in a date picker and go on a date at one of our partnered bars - without chatting beforehand.

So far we've organized over 200.000 dates, have over >650k downloads, and are available in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and the UK – with many more markets to come soon.

About the role

Our product must deliver high-quality features that offer a seamless user experience. To achieve this, we need to ensure that quality assurance is embedded early in the development lifecycle, enabling fast and efficient feature delivery while maintaining high standards. That’s why we’re looking for a QA Analyst who can implement a structured QA process that minimizes bottlenecks, ensures extensive test coverage, and identifies potential issues before they reach production. You’ll also play a crucial role in tracking bugs, assisting with sprint planning, and supporting the development team in delivering valuable, timely releases. Eventually, this role will merge with a Product Owner position, taking over responsibilities like managing the product backlog and being responsible for defining features to meet both user needs and business objectives.

Concretely, you would:

  • Advocate the right user's perspective and prioritization: help manage the product backlog, write user stories, and prioritize features to ensure the development team delivers impactful, high-quality releases aligned with both user experience and business objectives.

  • Manage the tickets for the features and bugs: ensure that all tickets, whether for new features or bugs, are clearly defined and documented for the development team. For bugs, make sure all necessary details are included to enable developers to reproduce and fix the issues efficiently.

  • Review all the designs and create acceptance criteria: assist in reviewing feature designs to ensure they meet both business and user needs. Create clear and actionable acceptance criteria for development, aligning the team on what success looks like.

  • Be responsible for reviewing bugs and features: detect at least 90% of issues before product releases through a combination of manual and automated QA processes, helping to minimize bugs in production and maintain high product quality.

About you

  • Attention to detail: you consistently catch errors and leave nothing unchecked. Your sharp eye ensures high-quality outcomes, both in technical work and user experience.

  • Analytical skills: you excel at analyzing data, identifying trends, and using insights to prioritize tasks and resolve issues effectively.

  • Prioritization: you know how to focus on tasks that will have the most significant impact on both the business and the user experience, ensuring the team works on what matters most.

  • Creative problem-solving: you approach challenges methodically and bring innovative solutions to the table, making you an asset in troubleshooting and product enhancement.

  • Organization and planning: you are highly organized, adept at managing multiple tasks, and keep projects on track with clear processes and time management.

  • Clear communication: you can communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.

  • Product vision: you understand the market and user needs, ensuring the product meets those needs while driving the business forward.

  • Growth mindset: you’re always learning, quickly adapting to new tools and methodologies, and continuously looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.
